ENRIQUE ARTURO DIEMECKE HAS BEEN NAMED “DISTINGUISHED GUEST OF THE CITY OF BUENOS AIRES”
The Mexican Conductor and composer, Enrique Arturo Diemecke, has been named “Distinguished Guest of the City of Buenos Aires” by the Legislature of Argentina. Maestro Diemecke is the Artistic Director of the Buenos Aires Philharmonic, Bogota Philharmonic, and the Symphony Orchestras of Flint and Long Beach in the United States.
Devoted promoter of Latin American classical composers, in 2004, as Principal Guest Conductor of the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra and since 2005 as its Artistic Director, Maestro Diemecke has brought to the public vast and rich repertoire of musical material of Argentinian classical and contemporary composers.
With a very busy international agenda, Maestro Diemecke has always given special attention to the promotion of Latin American music, taking it to countries such as Spain, France, Russia, Netherlands, Mexico, Brazil, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Poland , Australia, New Zealand, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Colombia and the United States. In England, in collaboration with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, He recorded three CDs devoted to the music of Ginastera, the CDs were released in 1999, 2000 and 2010. In 2002, Maestro Diemecke again presented Ginastera’s music in London with the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the Albert Hall, one of the major concert halls in England.
